Emily Kennedy 

Bachelor of Arts Honours in Dance York University, CCA, Owner, Director, Choreographer and Coach

"Dance has been my passion for as long as I can remember, if you do what you love you will never work a day in your life."

​

 Emily Kennedy has shown a strong passion for dance since she was just three years old. She started with ballet training in RAD (royal academy of dance) at Florence Abel’s School of Dance in Chatham, Ontario. She continued with Ballet and Tap through her childhood years and fell even more in love with dance and performing. She then started dabbling in different styles and genres and when she reached high school began dancing for the school team where she ended up becoming captain and choreographing dances and the young age of sixteen. 

​

 Emily started competitively dancing at a studio in Chatham where she later taught and choreographed for eight years, she attended competitions and conventions, training with top choreographers while receiving lots of individual recognition and scholarships. She then was accepted into the York University dance program, where she also became part of the competitive dance team and was selected as captain and choreographer. She showed her love for the stage as she competed and won numerous awards and recognition for her dances and her choreographed pieces for the team, including first overall for her solo 'Halo', out of over 100 solos!

 

 Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in dance, Emily continued working and choreographing for multiple studios. She then taught at studios in the Toronto Area including The Dance Loft, where she also won choreography and top overall awards for her pieces.

 

 Emily also teaches in school settings where she shares her passion for dance to kids of all ages. In Toronto, she taught for In The Mix dance program for three years and now has been teaching at Schools all around the Chatham-Kent area. Emily absolutely loves teaching and inspiring kids of all ages.

SELENA ALVES 

Bachelor of Arts Honours in Psychology at Carlton University, BATD, EDS INSTRUCTOR/COACH

​​

​    Selena has loved dance for as long as she can remember.

The styles she has trained in include: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, Acro, and various ballroom styles as well. However, Tap has always been Selena’s biggest passion in dance. While Selena was a competitive dancer she attended many conventions and workshops taught by amazing dancers/choreographers. Selena has been awarded for her musicality, and cleanliness of her solos. She also was the top soloist among all the solos in her age group at kick it up dance competition in all of Ontario. She was also awarded a regional ballet scholarship. 

​

 Selena has had the privilege of choreographic pieces for her

high school and for elementary schools. Selena is very excited

to share her love and knowledge of dance with the dancers at​

EDS!

KAITLIN REINHART

EDS INSTRUCTOR/COACH

 

 Kaitlin fell in love with dance at the age of 3.  Kaitlin trained recreationally in various styles of dance to develop a strong foundation for the art, including lyrical, jazz, hip hop, and ballet.  At the age of 9 Kaitlin started training as a competitive dancer.  She had the privilege of dancing as a part of Elite Dance Station’s senior team in the last few years of her competitive career.  

 

 Throughout her competitive dance career, she has been awarded by several judges for her emotional excellence and musicality in her lyrical, jazz and contemporary solo performances.  In addition to competing, she has had the opportunity to attend conventions and workshops, including The Pulse, to learn from many talented choreographers. Kaitlin was also accepted into a dance mentorship program, where she trained and learned under the guidance of Canadian actress, dancer, and choreographer Jordan Clark. 

 

Kaitlin is enrolled at Western University, where she is currently working to obtain her Bachelor of Science, alongside pursuing her love for dance.  Kaitlin loves teaching and being a part of the EDS family.  She is excited to continue to share her passion for dance with all the dancers!

KAYLA ARGENTI
EDS INSTRUCTOR/COACH

Kayla has always loved dancing and performing for others. She has trained in all genres, but thrives in Acro, Open, and Contemporary. She has been a dancer for 16 years, receiving many awards and recognition at competitions. She has been assisting EDS classes for 6 years, and choreographing for 2 years. She has been a part of EDS ever since they opened their doors in 2015 and has always loved the positive environment and people.

At Elite Dance Station, Kayla is choreographing Open, Acro and Contemporary dances for the competitive teams. She loves teaching all of the EDS dancers and watching them grow and improve every year. She hopes to inspire younger dancers and spread her passion for dance.
 








 


 
 Ceit has a huge love for dance and performance, specifically Musical Theatre. She has danced for twelve years and seven of those were as a competitive dancer. She has won numerous awards for her performances as a dancer and for her choreography.
 
 Ceit was accepted to Queens University Music Theatre program where she is still working towards her Bachelor of Music Theatre. She loves teaching at EDS and creating amazing musical theatre pieces that are so entertaining to watch. Her 'out of the box' ideas and choreography stand out from the rest.
